Introduction

BankSheet ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our bank statement conversion service.

Data We Collect

• Account information: Email address when you create an account.
• Usage data: Number of conversions per month (for enforcing free tier limits).
• Payment information: Processed securely by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We never see or store your full card number. Paddle handles all billing, tax, and refund processing.

How We Handle Your Files

We do NOT store your bank statement files or transaction data.

• Your PDF is processed entirely in server memory during conversion.
• The file is immediately discarded after the conversion is complete.
• Transaction data is sent to your browser and is not saved on our servers.
• We do not have access to your bank account credentials at any time.

Third-Party Services

• OpenAI: We send extracted PDF text (not the original file) to OpenAI's API for transaction parsing. OpenAI's API data is not used for training per their business terms.
• Supabase: Hosts our user accounts and usage tracking database.
• Paddle: Merchant of Record — processes payments, tax, and refunds. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
• Vercel: Hosts our web application.

Data Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We use industry-standard security practices including authentication tokens and encrypted databases.

Your Rights

You can:

• Delete your account at any time from the dashboard
• Request a copy of your data
• Request deletion of all your data
